Saturday is County Clean-Up Day

SUMMIT COUNTY — Despite the recent storms, it really is spring and we all know that with spring comes spring-cleaning. Summit County Clean-Up day is this Saturday, and no matter where you live in the county, there are local efforts calling all volunteers.

To find out what is happening in your town, read on:

<b>Breckenridge</b>
Volunteers should be at the Gondola South Parking lot at 9 a.m. for gloves, trash bags, and coffee before starting cleanup. After, meet at Carter Park for a barbeque at noon. If you would like to sign up ahead of time, call (970) 453-3187, ext. 3.

<b>Dillon</b>
Meet at 9 a.m. at Dillon Town Park if you would like to participate in cleanup. Contact Town Hall at (970) 468-2403 for more information.

<b>Frisco</b>
At 9 a.m. volunteers should report to Walter Byron Park for assignments. Cleanup will take place in the public spaces of Frisco, the cemetery and the streets and sidewalks all over town. Report back to the park at noon for the Zero Waste picnic for a raffle and free lunch.

<b>Silverthorne</b>
Volunteers should meet at Rainbow Park at 9 a.m. Call (970) 262-7377 for more information.

<b>Keystone</b>
Volunteers should meet on the north side of Keystone's parking lot at 9 a.m. for assignments, coffee and doughnuts. A picnic lunch will be served to all volunteers at noon. Bring gloves. Bright vests and trash bags will be distributed.
