Tell us about your business? Coming to your mailbox, Feb. 27, the full-color Coupon Cart Magazine of The Western Slope will contain valuable coupons and great offers by your favorite restaurants, home and professional services, and entertainment and activities. The Coupon Cart Magazine will be mailed to 40,000 homes every eight weeks.
What's exciting about your business? We are coordinating with the Grand Junction Area Chamber of Commerce to promote awareness of the Blue Band Wagon campaign. We proudly support the buy local initiative and will design the Coupon Cart Magazine's content to build a strong local economy, thereby saving jobs and making a difference in the quality of life on the Western Slope.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from others? We help connect our advertisers and their customers at the mailbox and inside the home. Our attractive magazine remains in the home for several weeks because it contains significant savings at their favorite restaurants and other local businesses.
What can they expect from your magazine? Results. It's all about the return our advertisers receive from their advertising investment. The coupons returned make our medium extremely measurable.
Tell us a little about your background and educational experience and what prompted you to move to the Western Slope: After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, I lived and played on the Front Range a bunch of years back. After returning from South Korea where I was teaching English, I spent a few years in Alaska, writing grants for the Native community before returning to the East Coast where I worked for The Coupon Cart in Albany, N.Y.
Last year, my daughter, Orianna, decided to attend CMU. Since her arrival she has shared her pride and enjoyment in the community with me and encouraged me to move to Grand Junction. On her recommendation, I resigned my job and began packing for the Western Slope.
I was so excited when The Coupon Cart offered me an opportunity to establish a hometown Coupon Cart magazine in my new home, Grand Junction. I am so very lucky and excited to make my home and livelihood in the most beautiful valley.
What has been your most interesting impressions since arriving in Grand Junction? Standing on Main Street, looking to the mesas on the horizon is breathtaking... so marvelous, so very unique. The people I meet, as I call on local businesses, are friendly, so genuinely personable. Wow, that's refreshing! I won't ever forget the horizon of the valley, and will always be thankful for the welcome I have received. Thank you. I sincerely hope to work with all our local businesses toward a vibrant economy and subsequently, a grand quality of life. Thank you for welcoming Orianna and me into your home.
