What goods or services do you provide? Head-to-toe body waxing for men and women. We also offer air-brush tanning and pedicures.
What's new or exciting about your business? That we have “vajazzling” (a rhinestone sticker that we put on after a Brazilian, or anywhere else), “vatooing” (temporary tattoo also put on after a Brazilian, you pick out the stencil and the glitter and we apply it. We have quite a selection), and “vajacials” (Facial for your vajayjay; yes, people really do this. Especially those prone to ingrowns or those who like a little extra pampering).
This month, we have also added pedicures featuring Mebath products which are amazing!
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition? You will know when you come in that we LOVE what we do and want only the best for our guests. We stay up to date on the newest and most current trends as well as educate them on everything “wax” when it comes to pre- and post care.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers? What can your customers expect from you? We treat every guest like they're our only one. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here. We treasure each person that walks through our door. Customers can expect to feel comfortable and at ease.
Tell us a little about your background, education, experience: I am a native to Grand Junction and graduated from Fruita Monument. I attended the Salon Professional Academy where I fell in love with working with skin. I started waxing there about four years ago and haven't stopped yet. Waxing is my passion! I recently went back to school and finished my degree in mass communication from Mesa State in May. After I graduated I was like “What now? Guess I'll open that salon I've been thinking about,” and the rest is history.
What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since it opened, or since you owned it? Having a client scream for their husband's sake. His reaction was priceless!
Do you have a favorite charity or charitable event you support or sponsor? I have been a part of Project Hope's The Prom since the first year and I'm very excited about helping them out again this year as a business owner.
What events, sales or specials do you have planned or going on right now? Since we just started doing pedicures, we are offering them for $30 and then they'll go up to $55. They include a soak, scrub, mask, massage, and polish. We are also lowering our prices to frequent Brazilian waxers to $38 if you come in every 4 to 6 weeks. We like to reward our loyal customers. In January, we'll be offering special after-hours treatments to bridal parties.
