GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Another reason to be thankful came in the form of this week's announcement of Country Jam 2012 music headliners.
Thursday, June 21, kicks off the four-day festival with headliner Blake Shelton. Yes, that Blake Shelton who just won the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year award.
Fan favorite Trace Adkins rounds out the set Friday, June 22.
And are you ready for the Country Jam debut of the Zac Brown Band Saturday, June 23?
Finally, country legend, the fiery fiddlemeister himself, Charlie Daniels Band finishes off the festival Sunday, June 24. A smokin' hot lineup for four days in the smokin' hot sun of western Colorado.
The day of the lineup announcement (Wednesday, Nov. 16) was “the single largest launch date for ticket sales in our 21-year history!” said Julie Shafer of Shafer Marketing.
And that's likely because Country Jam promoters listened to their audience and delivered the goods.
“We gave our customers the opportunity to submit their requests for artists that they would prefer to see at Country Jam 2012. Zac Brown Band was the favorite by far and then Charlie Daniels Band was the favorite for legendary performer ... the owners took their requests to heart and now we have the Zac Brown Band and Charlie Daniels Band booked for Country Jam 2012,” said Shafer.
The lineup also includes Chris Young, Luke Bryan, LoCash Cowboys, Jerrod Niemann and Justin Moore — so far. At least 10 more acts have yet to be announced.
Held each year in Mack, Colo., Country Jam 2012 is set for June 21-24. Tickets are available by calling 800-7800-JAM or visiting countryjam.com.
