GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Get geared up for winter adventures by checking out the Powderhorn National Ski Patrol Ski & Snowboard Swap Nov. 4-5 at Two Rivers Convention Center, 159 Main St.

Local vendors and individuals will be offering great deals on skis, boots, boards, clothing and more. For those wishing to consign gear, cost is $3 for skis and boards, and $2 for all other items. This event serves as the only annual fundraiser for Powderhorn's volunteer corps of ski patrollers, who provide emergency services on the slopes.

Special season-pass pricing for Powderhorn will also be available only at the swap — adults $449, youth $339, pre-teen $219, senior $369 and family $1,369. Admission into the ski swap is $5 on Friday evening, and $2 on Saturday.

In conjunction with swap, the Teton Gravity Research's 2011 HD ski film, “One for the Road,” will be shown at 7 p.m. at the Avalon Theatre. Admission is $15 and includes a buy-one-get-one-free coupon for Powderhorn and a half-price tune and sharpen at Board and Buckle. $2 draft beers from Kannah Creek Brewery will also be served.
