Snow in Denver and northeastern Colorado should wind down today but frigid temperatures are likely to stick around for a couple of days.
Today's high temperature in Denver should be about 9 degrees and the wind chill factors will be about minus 4 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Additional snow accumulations in Denver and northeastern Colorado are expected to be minimal this afternoon as the storm heads east. In the mountains, snow and snow showers today will bring up to 2 inches of new accumulation in some areas. There is a 30 percent chance of snow this evening.
Winter weather advisories around Colorado expired at noon. Still, daytime high temperatures in northeastern Colorado should not climb out of the single-digit range today and winds up to 10 mph on the plains will drop wind chill values down to minus 20.
