The average price of regular unleaded gasoline decreased to $2.542 per gallon Monday in Grand Junction.

That was down from $2.568 per gallon on Nov. 30, according to a weekly survey of area gas prices by AAA Colorado.

Statewide, the average slipped to $2.494 per gallon Monday from $2.527 on Nov. 30, the survey found.

The highest average price Monday was in Vail at $2.954 per gallon. The lowest average price was in Denver at $2.444 per gallon.
