GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Singing duo Jan Garrett and JD Martin will perform and present a special service Sunday at Two Rivers Center for Spiritual Living, in the Lakeside Community Room, 3150 Lakeside Drive.
Garrett and Martin have a new album titled “No Complaints Whatsoever.”
Spiritual, although not necessarily religious, Garrett and Martin deliver inspiring, uplifting lyrics filled with good humor, beautiful vocals and smooth piano playing.
Garrett and Martin were both part of the Aspen music scene during the 1970s. Garrett sang in a band called Liberty, an eclectic band that toured occasionally as the opening act for John Denver. She was also part of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's 1976 tour of the Soviet Union.
Martin played in the Hallam Street Band in the 1970s.
They've worked together as a duo since the 1990s.
The service is at 10 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. There is no charge and all are welcome.
