To those who call the Armstrongs “pseudo-intellectuals.”
They express in their writings the philosophy of Ayn Rand, which is a philosophy that accepts reality as it is. Nothing “pseudo” about the philosophy.
It's a philosophy that deals with facts and with the foundational divisions of philosophy -— metaphysics, epistemology, ethics, esthetics, and politics. Intellectuals who deal with these subjects are hardly “pseudo.” They're quite legitimate.
The Free Press is about freedom, and so are the Armstrongs. Freedom means freedom from government, i.e., freedom from physical force.
They desire a government that protects rights, not one which takes away rights. They want property rights and individual rights (there are no other kinds of rights); they want equality before the law and the equality of women; they want free speech.
The pseudo-intellectuals are the socialists and collectivists who try to sound idealistic (we want to help people), but whose true motivation is to acquire power.
