LEARNING WORKS on the lower level of 546 Main St. will be moving to the old Flowers by Lorraine location at First and Orchard on Jan. 1. Until then, visit them for some great holiday shopping. Lots of great learning toys and stocking stuffers for kids.

Congratulations to ORR'S TRADING COMPANY at 639 Main St. next to the Avalon Theatre. Owner Deborah Beck is celebrating her one year anniversary. Stop in and see how her inventory has grown to feature beads, teas, spices, herbs and Native American craft materials.

626 ROOD is taking reservations for Thanksgiving. Dinner will be served from 1 to 7 p.m. and will feature deep fried turkey as well as many of your 626 favorites. For Turkey Day reservations, call 257-7663.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, Nov. 29 when IL BISTRO ITALIANO at Fourth and Main will feature live music. A wonderful idea for those of you who want to relax after the Thanksgiving weekend and let someone else do the cooking and singing!

The TENACIOUS BROTHERS PUB in the site of the old Spotlight at Seventh and Main has just gotten new flooring and kitchen equipment. Look for them to open soon.

The KAFM RADIO ROOM will host a reading of Deb Brockett's book, “Stained Glass Rose,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18. Twelve local actors will read from the book which is based on 1937 murder in Grand Junction of Jeannette Morris.

NEW YORK MOON BOUTIQUE & SALON at 418 Main St. will be helping out the gentlemen get you that something special this Holiday season. Ladies, stop by and make out your Wish List then NYM will mail it to your significant other. He'll get the hint.

NO FAUX Photograph & Jewelry Shop is tucked away at 102 N. Fourth. They're open Tuesday through Saturday 10 to 5 p.m. and carry handcrafted, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made from real glass or stone with no synthetic materials. They also offer matted quality photos.

Mike Bell will move from managing the Rockslide Brew Pub to managing the new DREAM CAFÉ. Located in the old Crystal Café location.

THE DOWNTOWN VINEYARD CHURCH will have brand spankin' newly remodeled offices and classroom space on the bottom level of Sentinel Square at 634 Main. They're also moving their 10 a.m. Sunday services to the Avalon Theatre. They've outgrown Roper Hall. Music Pastor Tim Nutting is happy to share the historic Avalon stage with Pastor Paul Watson.
