One person dead, another wounded in Fruitvale shooting

The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a Fruitvale shooting, in which one person was killed and another wounded.

The incident happened about 2:20 a.m. Sunday on Rood Avenue east of Colorow Drive, authorities said.

The names of the victims have not been released.
