Greg Mikolai is a well-educated man, with an inquisitive mind, hard-working, open and honest. He has already given much to Grand Valley with his work at local PBS. He is willing to give extra time and energy to anything of value, that can be an educational, cultural enrichment for the public.
These strengths would be a fine addition to Mesa Valley School District 51 School Board.
He believes that life is about possibilities that, coupled with earnest work, bring good things to life. Starting to learn about new things only makes one curious for more!
His work at PBS is one good example of a way to bringing more to the Grand Valley. At PBS Greg Mikolai produces the short show, “Western Bounty,” a 3-minute vignette spotlighting area local artists, musicians and scientists.
He always shows the various strengths of these local individuals, from the symphony director, to local artists, all caring, inventive, productive local people that live like everyone else. This ability to highlight regular individuals strengths is something that can be very useful in the local school board.
Greg knows that we are facing a budget crisis, and knows well how to be careful financially, and at the same time pay close attention to the needs and development of our school children. This is a strength, especially useful during these hard economic time, and therefore is of great value.
Greg Mikolai is always open at PBS, to learn of new cultural, environmental, or scientific activity. This is a strength that would only enrich our District 51 School Board. Coupled with existing school board members Cindy Enos-Martinez, Harry Butler and Leslie Kiesler, our school board would have well established individuals with a fine array of different professions. This fact only increases the strength that our new District 51 School Board will have, which in turn will add to the fullness and strength of education that our local children will receive. That is a value well worth a vote, for a man who already gives of his little spare time to our public schools.
