A 42-year-old woman was arrested after she apparently took some pills and ran around her home naked breaking things, authorities said Sunday.
Tanya Eliz Moschetti of Loma is accused of second-degree assault on a peace officer and two misdemeanors in connection with the incident.
The second-degree assault count is a felony and punishable by up to six years in prison, based on state sentencing guidelines.
Mesa County Sheriff's deputies arrested Moschetti shortly after they responded to a call of a possible drug overdose about 7:50 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of 12 1/2 Road.
A person at the home, later identified as her husband, apparently telephoned the sheriff's office to report the incident.
He told authorities that his wife was running around the house naked and breaking things. The husband said the behavior started after Moschetti took some pills. The pills were not identified.
Moschetti is also accused of third-degree assault and criminal mischief. Both offenses are misdemeanors.
In other crime-related events, a 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday evening for alleged burglary and trespassing offenses.
Richard Allen Akey of Fruita is accused of four felonies and a misdemeanor in connection with the crimes. He faces more than 20 years in state prison if convicted of the alleged offenses.
Authorities arrested Akey at about 9:25 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Cedar Street. He is being held on $10,500 bond at Mesa County Jail.
