Bernie is a friend of vets

Veterans have no better friend at the state Legislature than Bernie Buescher. His commitment to veterans issues has led to a Legislator of the Year Award from the United Veterans Committee. Bernie carried the bill to restore $2.9 million to the Veteran’s Trust Fund that had been raided by a prior Legislature. Bernie has provided funding, equipment and expansion for veterans’ cemeteries in Mesa County.

I knew Bernie’s father, a WWII vet as I am, who served his country well and was awarded the Silver Star. He would be proud of his only son and namesake and his commitment to veterans.
