Vincent Robert Luze died Oct. 3. He was 69.
Vincent Robert Luze was born on April 7, 1939, to Joseph and Carmen Luze in Hendricks, Minn. He graduated from Elkton (South Dakota) High School in 1957. After graduation he joined the Air Force.
He married Patsy Standridge on Sept. 12, 1960, in Tacoma, Wash.
He worked in the mobile home business for 26 years. He later worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Grand Junction Elks Club. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by children Joseph of Castle Rock, Kathy (Dan) Piatt of Kenai, Alaska, and Rose (Lance) Wilsuehen of Kenai, Alaska; brothers Mike (Delores) Luze of Highmore, S.D., Roland (Paula) Luze of Wentworth, S.D., and Peter of Brookings, S.D.; sisters Margaret (Kenneth) Wickherst of Watertown, S.D., Carmen Dannenbring of Desmet, S.D., Jean (Kevin) Revaul of Donnelly, Idaho, Angeline (Leon) Spartz of Kransburg, S.D., and Lisa Luze of Charlotte, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at 2 p.m., at the Veterans Hospital Chapel in Grand Junction. Graveside services will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elkton, S.D.
