In a recent board meeting, the Grand Junction Economic Partnership board of directors voted unanimously to support Questions 2A and 2B (aka the Public Safety Initiative) on the November ballot. In other words, the partnership is all in favor of a new public safety building/fire station complex in downtown GJ. Peterson PHAC owner Kenny Chapman and General Manager John Burwell Jr. are stepping up to mentor several owners and managers of independent plumbing, HVAC and electrical contracting companies from across the continent Sept. 11-12 at the Peterson PHAC Peer Group Event. My Wireless Inc. just opened its newest store in Pueblo. That brings the tally to 21 stores scattered over three states: Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. My Wireless started with one Grand Junction store and five employees in 2004. They now employ more than 75 employees. The company is now setting its sights on a location in Fruita. They must be doing something right.
The Wine Country Inn, the new hotel in Palisade, is now promoting the wine community through its new blog titled, Talk Wine and Colorados Wine Country, at http://coloradowinecountryinn.blogspot.com. Spread the word and get blogging.
