Mark Trinidad Silva

Mark Trinidad Silva was born to Trinidad and Mary (Aguilera) Silva on Sept. 24, 1963, in Grand Junction, where he was raised and received his education.

After his graduation from Grand Junction High School, he attended Mesa College in Grand Junction. Upon completion of his education, he was employed at the Montrose Police Department. Then, in 1992, he became an insurance agent for Farm Bureau.

On Dec. 7, 2002, he was united in marriage to Stephanie Rustad in Nassau, Bahamas. Following their marriage, they resided in Pipestone, Minn., where he was employed at Winter Realty as a real estate agent. On Saturday, Aug. 9, he died at his home in Pipestone at the age of 44 years, 10 months and 17 days.

Mark attended Jasper Community Church in Jasper, Minn. He enjoyed golfing, fly fishing, hiking in the Colorado mountains and bugling for elk. He also enjoyed watching sports and playing John Denver music on his guitar.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Stephanie Silva of Pipestone, Minn.; children Treena Silva of Pipestone, Jauni Silva of Wildomar, Calif., and Thosten Silva of Pipestone; his father, Trinidad (Debbie) Silva of Fruita; his mother, Mary (Dan Trujillo) Silva of Clifton; and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister Delphina Thomas.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary.
