Free movie
The movie “Twins,” a comedy starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, will be showing at the Fruita Civic Center for senior free movie night, Friday, Aug. 8 at 7 p.m.
Films are shown on the second floor in council chambers.
Giant tacos and soda for $1.50 will be available before the movie at 6:15 p.m.

Hawaiian Luau
Fruita’s annual senior Hawaiian Luau for people 55 and older will be held Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 7-9:30 p.m. at the Fruita Civic Center front lawn, 325 E. Aspen St.
The menu will include grilled fish, Polynisian pork, tropical cole slaw, rice, banana cream cake, punch and more.
Entertainment will be provided by the Burning Desert Fire Collective, Polynesian dancers from Dance Works and hula dancers.
Cost for the event is $10 and registration is required by midnight Friday, Aug. 15.
