Marjorie Christine Wild was born Sept. 17, 1934, to John D. and Angeline Echer Fante in Trinidad, Colo. The family moved to Grand Junction in 1935.
Marjorie graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1952 and attended Barnes Business School in Denver and Golden Gate University in San Francisco.
On April 11, 1958, Marjorie married Lawrence Lee Wild in Grand Junction. During their lives together they lived in Grand Junction, San Diego, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Lawrence’s career as a U.S. postal inspector moved them to these various cities. Upon his retirement in 1987, they moved back to Grand Junction.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Lee Wild; brother Richard “Dick” (Carolyn) Fante; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 20, at 3 p.m. at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary with Reverend Jeff Harmeling officiating. Cremation preceded this service and private inurnment will be held in Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado at a later date.
