Print Comment
Joseph “Joe” Eric Chac of Grand Junction died Tuesday, May 13, at St. Mary’s Hospital due to complications arising from diabetes at the age of 32.

Joe, a 1994 graduate of Central High School, attended Colorado School of Mines and Cal-Poly-Pomona before returning to the area and taking a position at Managedcare.com as an SOL reports developer/systems administrator.

Joe was a car enthusiast and member of a drift-racing club. Joe was also a supporter of Japanese culture in America, creating fan groups and working conventions around the country. He had a love for life, especially for anything adventurous. Joe was devoted to his family and friends. He was a loyal son, brother and friend; open-hearted and kind to everyone. He will be remembered as a man of integrity, a man of strong work ethic and a man of his word.

Joseph was born on April 23, 1976, to George Chac and Marie Dam. He is survived by his parents, George Sang T. Chac and Marie Oanh Mai Dam of Grand Junction; his younger brother, Kenneth S. Chac of Grand Junction; and younger sister, Elaine M. Chac of New York.

The family would like to express their appreciation for all the love and support during this time of mourning.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, at Callahan-Edfast from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Canyon View Vineyard Church followed by a graveside service at Grand Junction Memorial Gardens.
