Viola Antal died on Friday, May 9, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. She was 78.

Viola was born on March 12, 1930, to Ferenc and Julia Szucs Deak in Vamospercs, Hungary. Viola went through school in Vamospercs.

Viola married Frank Antal Sr. on March 29, 1950, in Nyiracsad, Hungary. To this union three children were born.

Viola was a member of the Garnet Mesa Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and flowers. She loved to cook. But most of all she loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Among survivors are her three children and their spouses, Frank and Patty Antal of Delta, Bobbie and Lloyd Carothers of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Eva V. Antal and Paul Miller of Gilbert, Ariz. She is further survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her loving companion of 11 years, Allen Hart of Delta.
Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Antal Sr., and her parents.

Funeral Service were held on Tuesday, May 13, at the Taylor Funeral Service Chapel in Delta with the Rev. Dick Neale officiating. Interment followed at the Delta City Cemetery.
