The Mesa County Coroner's Office on Thursday identified a California woman as the driver of a minivan that got on Interstate 70 going the wrong way in Monday's deadly wreck.
Kathryn Ann Disparti, 48, of Napa, Calif., died of multiple blunt-force injuries. The coroner's office ruled her death as an accident.
Coroner's investigator Steve Stogsdill said the results of a toxicology report won't be known for two to six weeks.
Disparti's Dodge Caravan slammed into a Chevy Monte Carlo driven by 26-year-old Jenny Trover of Fruita, killing the mother.
Trover's 5-month-old son was in the back seat of the Monte Carlo and suffered head injuries. He was listed in fair condition Thursday at St. Mary's Hospital.
The Dodge Caravan entered I-70 at the 24 Road exit exit ramp, headed west in eastbound traffic and slammed head-on into the Monte Carlo.
