Grand Junction High School Principal Jon Bilbo and Wrestling Coach Bud Glover have reached an agreement over the team’s future direction. During a meeting held today, both men agreed on the development of a plan to capitalize on recent successes while addressing opportunities for improvement.
Both are in agreement that student athletes are the most important part of this issue. Mr. Bilbo and Coach Glover are committed to continuing to move the program forward in a direction wrestlers, coaches, and parents can all be proud. As a result Coach Glover will remain as the Head Wresting Coach for the 2008-09 school year.
“I would like to thank everyone who expressed their support,” said Coach Glover. “It is a pleasure to return to GJHS as the Head Wrestling Coach and be able to support the student athletes, coaches, families and this great community through this transitional year. I am looking forward to continued support as we help our student athletes reach their individual potential throughout this season and beyond.”
“Based on this agreement and the support of Coach Glover we can move forward addressing areas that will enable the Wrestling Program at GJHS to grow to the next level of success,” said Bilbo. “This decision was made in the best interest of students.”
