Hundreds of people dressed to the nines attended Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado’s annual Black Tie and Boots Gala Saturday night. The event was held at Two Rivers Convention Center.

“It’s one of our largest fundraisers and friend-raisers,” said Lorraine Willney of Hospice.
Money raised from the Gala will stay in the local communities to support the many Hospice programs.

Christy Whitney, chief executive officer for Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Colorado, announced that the organization succeeded in raising $11.6 million in its six-year capital campaign for a new care center.
