What’s going on with some folks?

Bored terrorists and the wandering Butler

• A 21-year-old man walked into the Mesa County Justice Center and, just prior to passing through a security checkpoint manned by sheriff’s deputies, placed his pipe “which had a residue consistent with burnt marijuana” on a table, according to reports. He was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia.

• Grand Junction police were called on a report of a man — dressed in red lingerie which allegedly exposed his genitals — who had walked up to a home in the 1100 block of Colorado Ave., according to reports. When asked by officers if the man had indeed exposed himself, the 37-year-old reportedly explained he was wearing his “sex clothes,” referring to the lingerie as his “Butler.”

The man was issued a summons for indecent exposure.

• A Fruita woman was alarmed at the sight of a white male, early 50’s “balding and about 250 pounds,” driving in the 1400 block of U.S. Highway 6 & 50 and filming a gas station in the area, according to reports.

The woman reported what she saw “in fear that the subject may be a terrorist,” reports said.

Officers told her the man may be a freelance news photographer.

• A 34-year-old woman was arrested at the Mesa County Jail when authorities learned she had an active arrest warrant for motor vehicle theft. She’d originally gone to the jail during visitation hours to see an inmate.

• A 19-year-old man was pulled over after apparently passing too close to a Colorado State Patrol traffic stop on the Interstate 70 Business Loop. He was issued a summons for marijuana possession, driving with a suspected license and carrying no insurance.
